FAQs

Trimlight is a permanent, programmable LED lighting system that is custom installed to your home or business. Trimlight is professionally installed and allows for any holiday, landscape and security lighting year-round. The lights are controlled via smart-phone application and allow customization with incredible ease of use. Not only does it provide year-round use, it also is extremely energy efficient and provides lifetime energy savings for homeowners and businesses.

Trimlight is different than any other LED permanent lighting system. We install our patented, color-matched channel under the soffit of your home. This channel protects and hides the wires and other electrical components. Trimlight channel does not interfere with most gutters or other architectural features on a building. It is safely below where water can enter or UV rays can damage the bulbs. No ugly plastic clips, loose wires, or anything that would detract from the beauty of your home or business. In fact, most people won’t notice anything different on the exterior of the home when looking at it during the day. TRIMLIGHT bulbs use exclusively LED lighting technology that is designed to last far longer than conventional, incandescent bulbs and uses only a fraction of the power. Our Select PLUS system allows the user to control every bulb with ease. A simple touch of your smartphone will allow you to choose any color combination for millions of options. Features include choosing colors to rotate back and forth, flash, run through a cycle of multiple colors, chasing, stacking, Snake Runs, Rainbow patterns, Strobe effect, Wave Runs, Comet Runs, Pulsing, etc.

Pricing can vary from home to home and business to business depending on the number of gables, roof pitch, spacing, number of stories, and other factors. Trimlight is priced by the linear foot, and can range from $23-$32/foot depending on the application. When you request a quote, West Florida Trimlight  will come measure your home or business and provide a total price inclusive of materials and installation. Your sales professional will be able to provide recommendations on lighting type based on the structure type, your needs or wants, and find every possible way to make it work with the budget you’ve established for the project.

Yes, we can add-on to existing systems at a later date, but it is very helpful to anticipate this need at the time of initial install so that a large enough power box is installed. We would also do the layout of the wire so that power would be accessible at the ends. This may require an additional charge if it causes extra work for our crew.

LIFETIME. That’s right, Trimlight offers an unmatched LIFETIME PRODUCT WARRANTY! If a diode burns out, controller malfunctions, power source goes on the fritz, color-matched metal starts to rust, or anything else fails under normal operating conditions, the part is covered at no expense to the client! All labor and installation have a 2 YEAR WARRANTY. Any labor costs to make repairs on manufacturer defective parts are covered in full for the first 2 years. This may include faulty bulbs, power supply parts, LED controllers, light connections, and aluminum channel finish. After the 2nd year, Client will be responsible for a $125 service call fee, in addition to the costs of labor, which will be discussed and estimated prior to the WFT team undertaking the necessary work. While parts are still covered under the product Warranty, the time and travel of WFT must be compensated.

Trimlight is approved by nearly every HOA due to it’s sleek, professional design and installation. If you reside within an HOA, we are happy to work with you to submit the required paperwork to your HOA for approval. Please work with your estimator and they will provide you a packet of information that makes the approval process as painless as possible with your HOA, or contact us at info@WestFloridaTRIMLIGHT.com with the name and contact information of your HOA and we will contact you regarding the next steps.

Simply fill out the “Request Free Quote” form on the Home page or from the Toolbar, submit your information, and we will contact you to arrange a time for the estimate. Once you approve the estimate and provide the partial upfront payment, West Florida will go to work on manufacturing and preparing the system for installation. Since it is a custom product, we advise homeowners that it takes about 2-3 weeks from the time the homeowner signals to move forward before the system is ready for install. During our peak season (October thru December), that lead time can be as long as 6 weeks so it’s best to move early in the year if you are hoping to have Trimlight installed on your home for an upcoming Christmas season.
